Lakefield Custom Home
This award winning Lakefield custom home was very intriguing. As a full-height three story ICF (insulated concrete form) construction, it looked like a church as it was being built because of the gable end walls. Even the 24/12 pitch front gable was cast in place before the roof was actually framed. We utilized the full gamut of ICF products available, everything from brick ledges for the natural field stone siding, to adjustable block for the octagonal room. The heating system is a radiant heat, high efficiency oil system and operating costs are extremely low in this R2000 home, which won a design award at the provincial level for its merits.
